When creating document geometries, the document corresponding to the geometry must exist in the “searched directory”, which is specified in the Search in field of the Spatial Location File Creation dialog, in order to add a document’s geometry to the SLF.

When trying to add a geometry to the SLF, the framework systematically searches the directory specified in the Search in field for the presence of the corresponding document. If the document exists, the geometry is added to the SLF. Conversely, if the document is not found in the “searched folder”, its geometry will not be added to the SLF.
